MagSafe 2 voltage change

Did anyone notice that while the original MagSafe power adapters were 16.5 Volts, the new MagSafe 2 ones are 20 Volts?

That's kinda nice. Higher voltage allows for more efficiency.
 
Probably also explains why there's an adapter to use an old Magsafe with the newer laptops but no adapter to use a Magsafe 2 with an older laptop.
