MagSafe 85w from 07 work with 11" MBA 2011?

I lost my MagSafe for the 11" MBA. However I have a 85w MagSafe from 2007. It seems like it works but is it safe and OK for the MBA?

You may need an adapter to make the physical connection (MagSafe > MagSafe 2).

The 2011 isn't the MagSafe 2

The computer will only draw the power it needs. In effect, the 85W adapter won't be working as hard as it can.

As stated above, yes even with the difference in wattage. The Macbook only takes what it needs, not the maximum of what the power supply may be able to output.

No, as posted earlier, the MagSafe 2 port wasn't in computers until 2012.
