    Hello,

I lost my MagSafe for the 11" MBA. However I have a 85w MagSafe from 2007. It seems like it works but is it safe and OK for the MBA?

It is perfectly fine to use that with a newer Macbook. You will not harm it in any way.

Even the watt difference? It's higher.

The computer will only draw the power it needs. In effect, the 85W adapter won't be working as hard as it can.

As stated above, yes even with the difference in wattage. The Macbook only takes what it needs, not the maximum of what the power supply may be able to output.

Yep you will need the adapter to convert it to MagSafe 2.

No, as posted earlier, the MagSafe 2 port wasn't in computers until 2012.
