Good evening to the community,

I've got the magsafe Battery pack and since receiving it, it's never updated to the latest release of the firmware.

I've connected it, disconnected it, put my iPhone on it to charge whilst plugged in to no avail.

I've not found any information other than Apple suggesting to use 20W USB C for charging just the battery pack, which for me means unplugging my MagSafe Duo to charge my battery, so my questions are as follows:

Can I charge my battery pack with my 5W charger, I realise the time will be extended but it's only as a back up device

And can I connect it to my late 2015 iMac 27" with USB A 2.0 to get the battery pack to apply the update? Apple's information and information on the web is practically non existent on the matter!

Thanks in advance!

I did the trick connecting it to my MBA M1 via USB-C cable. The newest firmware was there in about 5 min.

Good stuff, I've heard a few people having success connecting it to Apple Silicon Mac's but no one has mentioned of they managed to do it through a intel Mac using a USB A to lightning cable
