I have 2 phones:
- My iPhone XS (added in a metal ring so it sticks to magsafe chargers)
- My wife's iPhone 12 Mini w/ official Apple MagSafe case
I bought the ESR HaloLock magnetic car charger (x2, one for each of us) and I bought 2 chargers that support QC 3.0 / 18W charging. ESR says that it will charge at 7.5W if you plug in a 18W QC 3.0 compatible charger to it.
I turned off my phone screen and attached it to the charger. 20 minutes later my phone was sitting at the same percentage.
My understanding is that the XS and iPhone 12 Mini both support the same wireless charging speeds, except the 12 Mini has MagSafe in addition.
Why am I not able to charge effectively on this ESR HaloLock car mount? It does not say it is MagSafe specific. My wife's phone wasn't charging quickly either.
