what did 174 actually add ? i still can't power it from the USB-C port on my iPad Air 4 which is very annoying as I used to like doubling the iPad up as a battery pack on the go. Seems the MacSafe puck only works from 9V 2-2.4A USB-C PD perhaps and won't fall back as a standard 5W Qi charger on 5V 2-2.4A USB? anyone else experienced this? wish apple would fix it in a firmware update...
 
Do you check the firmware of the MagSafe duo charger the same way. As I don’t see it listed under settings/general/ about.
 
Oh brother. What's a firmware update going to do? Is it going to magically stop the charger from burning rings in cases and on the back of the phone?
