In the end, let's just forget the MagSafe idea. I'd rather just charge with the USB-C to Lightning wired connection. Besides, I use an Anker PowerElite II charger (two 12 watt/2.4 ampere USB-A ports) and not experienced charging speed issues with my iPad Pro 10.5" and iPhone 12, so.... ?‍♂️

There are multiple options for charging. MagSafe is just one option.
