The Faracent posted above works. With my multimeter, I was getting full power output of 15 watts. Well technically, it draws up to 20 watts from the block but there is inefficiency.
How did you test please?

Mia there any posted on any other cables working? Just got a MagSafe and like most the cable is ridiculously short.

I need a cable extension of 1M as well, I’m in UK, can I get any USB C make to female? Should I make sure it’s MFi?

This MagSafe “convenience” charging is becoming too expensive, the charger £40, Anker 20W plug £17, extension cable £10.....

Thanks

Not sure wether to send mine back now. Anyone comment on my above.

Is an extension USB-C cable ok to use? No voltage drop, slower charging, more heat etc?

Think would rather have the duo but even more ridiculous price really. If get extension still the cost is going up and up

I came across this magsafe charger from a third-party company called chargecords. What's interesting is that the magnetic charging disc can attach to a USB-C cable. The company says their products are MFi certified.

I searched for reviews of this thing, but I couldn't find any. I'll wait until I see it on Amazon.

A lot of you guys are overthinking this problem. Instead of extending the USB-C cable to reach the charger, why don't you just add an extension cable between the charger and the wall socket? See below:

This looks better with the appearance of magsafe. If it is only used for charging and does not require high-speed data transmission, I think it can do the job.
