Do you think that Apple will include the MagSafe adapter in the iPad 3 when it does come out? I'm surprised they didn't include it in the iPad 2.
 
No. The magsafe on the macbooks is only for power, and every macbook has a battery, so if the cord get yanked out it isn't a big deal. But the ipad cable is sync and power. If it got knocked loose during a sync, data loss could occur. Plus, a magnet alone is not enough of a connection for third party accessories that use the dock connector to attach to the ipad/ipod.
