MagSafe for iPad?

Do you think that Apple will include the MagSafe adapter in the iPad 3 when it does come out? I'm surprised they didn't include it in the iPad 2.

No. The magsafe on the macbooks is only for power, and every macbook has a battery, so if the cord get yanked out it isn't a big deal. But the ipad cable is sync and power. If it got knocked loose during a sync, data loss could occur. Plus, a magnet alone is not enough of a connection for third party accessories that use the dock connector to attach to the ipad/ipod.

The iPad, iPod touch, and iPhone have always supported disconnecting the USB cable without ejecting.

When it's just charging sure, but it's when it's transferring data that there would be issues. Same reason why I'd never want a magnetic/easy-to-pop USB connection.

Mine would never stay connected. Plus, Apple is hellbent on keeping this damned 30 pin port.
