Hi,

My main question is are people actually seeing a 3 hour charge time from 0-100% battery or is real world usage a bit better? I have an iPhone 12 mini and MagSafe is supposed to charge it at 12 watts. Well 12 watts is wha the old iPad chargers did and it charged my iPhone in like an hour and a half. Like iPhone 6/7 (which had similar batteries to the 12 Mini I have), etc...is MagSafe just slower bc it's varying the wattage to avoid over-heating or something?

I am experimenting with using MagSafe in my car since I have a very long commute to work. I started using MagSafe on my nightstand when I go to sleep but the magnet I had for my old car mount does not work anymore, so that's why I'm looking into putting MagSafe in my car as well. Basically would buy the 20 Watt Apple Charger and then a car power inverter (like the one below) in order to make it work in my car. So about $100 to set everything up, but figure it's worth it if I use it for a couple of years. Especially if they come out with a better version of MagSafe next year.

As time has gone by I’ve mounted the phone lower in the car so that it’s available BUT not always in my direct line of view.

I have a Mustang and a 4Runner and on the Mustang it’s mounted on the bottom right of the dash and in the 4Runner on the bottom left in a cup holder magnetic holder.

I do find it slower to some degree than wired. Its convenient to just slap it on the magsafe dock but I feel wife is more efficient and faster
