MagSafe Not Charging 12 Pro Max Past 74 Percent

I have the new iPhone 12 Pro Max. I bought the MagSafe charger and a 20W charging plug. I also have the Apple clear case with the MagSafe magnet design on the back.

When I try to charge the phone in the case with the MagSafe charger, it charges decently fast till it reaches 74% but after that it doesn’t charge beyond that even though the charging symbol is still there.

I do not have the phone battery optimization setting on and the regular slow charger will charge the phone to 100%. The MagSafe is properly aligned when I attempt to charge and the case is on tight. I’ve even tried resetting and turning the phone on and off, as well taking the MagSafe puck on and off but nothing seems to work.

Is anyone else having this problem?

How long did you wait ? ....... the last part of the charge is slower by design

As far as I’m aware that’s when it reaches 99%. 🤔

Is there an optimised charging parameter in settings?
In settings you can optimise charging for the Apple watch and AirPods on a learning basis so that they only fully charge based on when you use them

Not necessarily if optimised charging is set but I note the OP states that they have it disabled.
OP are you 100% sure optimised charging is off ?

I'm not having this issue on either my phone or my wife's phone. We both have apple cases leather and silicone respectively. Pop phone on at night, in the morning they are at 100%

I am facing same issue here. I recently bought a MagSafe duo and it is not working correctly.

tested during three days.

first morning iPhone charged till 75%
second morning till 53%
yesterday I disabled “optimized charging” and this morning I had 85%.

iPhone 12 mini with original apple leather case MagSafe compatible.

did you find a solution to this problem? Or should I return this charger?
