all the 60 watt power supplies i find = A1344, which is what i have now, say they are for 13" macbooks not 15", does it make a difference.

Macbook pro 15" require the 85 watt charger. The 60 watt charger does not supply enough power.

The A1344 60W does seem to be for a 13", but could still be correct electrically. What is the year of your 15" MBP? Is the power adapter the original one that came with your MBP at time of purchase?

Some years of the 15" MBPs did have a 60W power adapters.

mine is a 2008 macbook pro. and yes everything ive read says 85 watt. i have a 2007 with the original charger and its 85 watt.
