I was wondering that if my MagSafe ever stopped working, could I buy an L shaped from the Apple store and if it would work? I know the connection is the same, and I heard it doesn't matter if the wattage is higher.

While the pin layout is the same , it may not work, some older macbooks WILL NOT work with the L shaped connector. the information can be looked up on everymac
