Is it safe to leave the Magsafe adapter connected to my Macbook all the time, e.g. when I leave the house.

I heard something about them melting and catching fire.

Thanks

A few years ago there were a couple (and I mean "a couple"), rare instances that were talked about over the web about a few MagSafe adapters catching fire.

I've left my MagSafe power adapter plugged into my Mac for weeks at a time. Unless your cord is frayed, you shouldn't use it (and that goes for any electronic device for that matter!).

I leave min plugged in MOST of the time, even when i use it... it gets a little warm when charging, but afterwards it gets pretty cool.
