magsafe starts MBP upon connection

My MBP has been turning on from a complete shutdown when I connect the power adapter. Doesn't happen every single time, just about 6 times now in the past 3 weeks since I've bought it. Is this common?

Definitely not normal. If it continues with any frequency I'd get off to my local Apple store.

Haven't tried that, I will keep that in mind if this issue becomes unbearable. Thanks for the suggestion!
