i triped on the magsafe power adpter and the magsafe along with the ethernet port chipped off what do i do?
*Take to Apple
* Fix it my self
*take it to a apple reseller

I'd say you should take it to Apple. Apple makes the claim that the Magsafe is meant to protect your computer. I can't imagine how badly you tripped if the ethernet port took some damage😱 This is definitely one of those cases where Apple should repair it, because either way, the product didn't do what it was meant to (prevent damage).
 
Where's our postcard???

Did you trip on the Power cable or the Ethernet cable? Were both cable tied together?

Just thought I'd ask.

How did the ethernet port take damage? Did you have ethernet plugged in, and when you tripped on the AC adapter, both came out with force? If so, shouldn't this have damaged your ethernet cable and not the port itself?

Wow, that is bad then. How on earth did the magsafe manage to mess up the ethernet port? I feel sorry for you, because the genius will fight with you on this point; he/she will claim that damage wasn't caused by the magsafe. Good luck getting them to fix it; I hope it works out for you😱
