I was using a build of Growl that worked in Mail, but when I updated to 10.5.2(Mail updated too, I think), this version doesn't work anymore. What can I use instead?
Okay, I've installed it but what do I do to set it up?You can use Proxi (free download) from Griffin to do this. You set up a trigger to monitor for incoming mail, which you then set to issue a Growl notification
Okay, I've installed it but what do I do to set it up?
At the bottom of the 'Triggers' pane, click the drop down and select 'Insert Trigger > Mail Monitor'.
Then with the new 'Mail Monitor' trigger highlighted, select 'Insert Task > Growl Notification' from the Tasks pane drop down
You can see how I have my Growl notification configured from the image I posted (click on the 'Values' toolbar button to display some options to include)
Okay, this is how mine's set up. But it's not working. What's wrong?

Do you have Proxi enabled as a Growl application in the Growl pref pane?
It's not even listed.. odd.
Hmmm, I'm running Growl 1.1.2 with latest Leopard and it's working fine. Once you start Proxi it should register in Growl automatically, not sure why it's not showing up for you - maybe stop and restart Growl?
