Mail 6.2 autocomplete addresses

My Mail v. 6.2 for Mountain Lion does not autocomplete addresses, even though the respective preference is ticked. This is a definitely annoying compared to SnowLeopard and not my understanding of progress.

Is there a way to make autocomplete work? Please note that deleting setting up mail completely anew is no option for me as I have 6 accounts and lots of archived mail on my MBAir.

Open Mail and go Mail menu item Window and choose "Previous Receipts". That is where Mail get it autocomplete.

Yes, thanks, I found that list in the meantime, but this list is empty.....
