Is there a way to have my local Mail library (not the @icloud.com accounts) backed up in iCloud Drive? I could copy the library folder manually to iCloud and keep a copy there but it won’t auto update so it would be a pain to upload a lot of gigs every week or month. What if there was a way to keep the Mail library on my desktop so it automatically backs up to iCloud Drive which I have enabled? Is this possible?

What about the same idea but with the files in my external drive? I know I could copy the files to iCloud Drive manually, but again they won’t keep updated. Is there a way to make iCloud backup and update the files in my external drive as if they were on my desktop?

I don’t understand why Apple didn’t make an iCloud Drive time machine backup option, I guess maybe this will come next year as a next step?

Thanks.
