"Boom" as Jobs says.

Ahh, you still have that grey folder though. With my FuseMail account, all my subfolders are under my Inbox, so I don't have any other folders....like this...

I'd like to get rid of those bottom 2 folders, or at least put them with the Gmail Inbox, just to clean things up.

How did you put those labels and Stuff...Mailboxes, On My Mac, etc.? Is that a Leopard thing? I have those in iTunes, and I've seen others without them.

That's Mail 3.0 in Leopard. Worlds better than Mail 2.0 in Tiger.
Does Mail 3.0 in Leopard sync IMAP accounts any faster than Mail 2.0 under Tiger did?

I've noticed that if a message lands in my IMAP account's inbox, and Mail.app is running, that there's a pretty signficant lag before Mail.app finally notices that there's new mail and downloads it. In contrast, the iPhone Mail application (looking at the same IMAP account) downloads it right away.

I have a gmail account with about 1000 messages in both the inbox and sent box. I dont really use the labels.

I am on leopard and i setup the imap account and get the inbox mails and then the gmail folder appears with all mail, sent, draft, etc and some labels i once created.

I would want the inbox, sent, draft and trash from gmail to be mapped to my folders in mail and have no interest in the other gmail folders.

How exactly should i should i go about this? Everytime i put Gmail in the prefix then the sent, draft and trash mailboxes are replaced with empty ones.

I was wondering about that too. Actually the only thing that bothers me about them is that when I get new mail, Mail.app puts a number next to the "All Mail" folder signifying unread mail, even if I've read the same message from my Inbox.

Also, I swear I just received a message in my "All Mail" folder that didn't go to my Inbox.... well.... still working out all the kinks maybe.

When I first set up my Gmail IMAP, "all mail" and inbox were both telling me I had new mail like many of you are saying, and it was indeed annoying. Sometime yesterday however, it stopped doing that, and now only my inbox shows new mail. I didn't change any setting on the Gmail side or Apple Mail side... Weird, but works for me. Maybe Google changed something on their end? Has anyone else observed this?

Other than that, Apple Mail has been unable to access any of my IMAP Gmail accounts (I have 4 of them) for the last couple hours or so... They're fine through Safari, though.

Is there a way to unsubscribe from "All Mail" in Leopard Mail? I'm on Tiger, so I can't test.
