Mail.app 3.2 + Gmail IMAP issues

The world of Mail.app 3.2 and Gmail IMAP is great and i wouldn't want to go back to pop or webmail-only. One thing bothers me a lot though: i've setup gmail filters to assign labels to certain incoming messages, which works fine. These labels now map to Mail.app folders, so far so good, but the point of these folders is to have less messages in my Inbox. This doesn't work well, cause it seems that i have the message both in my (label-based)folder BUT also in my inbox?

Any thoughts on this?

I'm wondering the same thing. Plus, if I delete a message from my inbox it shows right back up again, but if I delete it from the All Mail folder it disappears for good. What gives? I know that the Gmail implementation of IMAP is not really IMAP at all but a single folder with labels, but can't we do better than that?
