Hi,

Are there any good Mail app alternatives that supports Gmail/Outlook push notifications, but has a native feel and look of a mac app?
I've come across Canary Mail, which works great, but wondering if there are any more?

Also, a companion app for iOS would be great. Hopefully Apple updates the Mail app in the future, seems to be neglected.

Thanks

MS Outlook, I think.

However, why do you think the Apple Mail app is substandard?

Re: push notifications on Mac: just set "Check for new messages" preference to 1 minute to do pseudo push notifications.

I recently went on a quest for an alternative and settled on eM Client. It is free for up to 2 email accounts. Although there is no companion app for iOS, I am ok using the Apple Mail app on the phone. My main issues with the Mac app was how it handles composing new mail, especially attachments. Also, I have a large volume of old emails I keep offline, and the Mac mail seems to have some issues handling importing/exporting and searching those.
