When trying to send an e mail, I am getting a notice that I am timing out on "smtp.gmail.com" port 25. I haven't changed any settings, so I'm not sure what could be happening.

Does anyone have any help/info they could share?

Thanks in advance.

Some ISPs will only let you use their SMTP server settings. Maybe talk to the ISP about what SMTP you can or should use. 🙂

I think I figured everything out. Somewhere along the way something got changed, but I know it wasn't me intentionally changing the settings in Mail. I went back and reconfigured Mail using Gmail's directions, and now everything is working fine.

In short, the port # in the server settings had to be changed and now things are fine.

Thanks for the response!
