Has anyone ever had this problem? I can access my mac mail off the website but i can't use the application from the desktop. When I open it up, it bounces maybe once or twice, comes up and then the rainbow colored waiting circle things appears and i can't click out unless I force quit it from not responding. It does this everytime. And im not sure how to fix this.

I have had it. I think the bug first started from 10.4.5 or 4.6. It's just constant beachballing right, the coloured circle.

All I done was move the com.apple.mail.plist from /Users/YOURNAME/Library/Preferences to the desktop, load up Mail you'll see its probably been reset and functioning as normal. Quit the app and put the original plist on your desktop back and your settings etc are all intact.

This bug has came up so many times apparently.

Hey thanks a lot, that solved it. Im still kinda new to macs so I had no idea about the bug.

This worked for my issue...

Mail would launch then freeze...

nice little trick there, wonder why they havent fixed that bug yet
