I have made a rule and selected 'Delete' if this condition is met. However all it does is place it in the junk mailbox marked as unread. This is the latest OSX. I remember in the past if a 'delete' rule was made you'd never see it again. Why is it not deleting but in stead moving to the junk mailbox and marking it unread.

When I redo the rule and click 'apply' it deletes, but not when the mail I want deleted comes in fresh. What is going on here?

thx.

Is it possible that the mail you are trying to delete has been identified as junk and the junk filters are running before your rule does? Does the rule run on the junk folder?
