I've found since upgrading to Ventura that the Mail app randomly deletes emails from my Mac. I only know this when I compare the mail count and notice it's out by 2 or 3 compared to my iPhone. I then search for that email and find it in the Bin

I'm using the .Mac / iCloud email address. Is anyone else seeing this?

You can see what you're seeing in Mail/ Do use Saved email on your Mac or iCloud the save all your email! In Ventura open System Preferences->Internet Accounts and if you synced up in the settings!

Thank you. I checked the settings and all is in order.

This is a strange thing where emails are automatically deleted for some reason. One moment they're there, the next they've been deleted. It only happens on the Mac and not the phone or iPad.

Also make sure you have no Mail add-ins running or rules setup do you?
Nope, no mail add-ins.

And now it seems I'm repeating my posts on here too 🤣

I also thought of if you're using a iCloud email IMAP server if you delete a Email from iOS device it will sync to iCloud server! It takes a few minutes sometimes when first waking up a Mac to iCloud email! I noticed this back when I had a iPad to iCloud too and deleted email on it then back at Mac the email in the InBox would move around to what I did on iOS! Thst's the world we wanted with iCloud first went online!

Not in this case I'm afraid. Here it's pure and simple emails going missing whilst I'm sitting at the laptop. I'll see a discrepancy in the unread email count between my Mac mail and iPhone mail. The Mac will have 1 or 2 unread emails less than the iPhone even though I've not deleted anything.I'll then go and do a comparison of unread emails between Mac and phone and once I identify which email is missing on the Mac, I'll have to retrieve it from the Bin.

All very odd!
