Hello fellow mac users. My first post here.

I am running Leopard 10.5.1, and i would like to be able to automatically start the Mail application in hidden mode every time i boot up my computer, so it just runs in the background and checks for emails. I have added the Mail application under "login-items", and my problem is now that even though i have selected it to start in hidden mode, i still pops up every time i boot.

I read somewhere that this was a bug back in Tiger as well, and that an Applescript had been written to fix it. But that fix doens't work in Leopard. Does anybody have a fix for this? It's very annoying.

Odd that this is still an issue...Apple was well aware of it in Tiger.

Anyway, here is an updated fix for Leopard.

Thank you. Quick and useful reply. Exactly why I finally started posting.
