Hi.

I hate Apple's Mail application. I love Sparrow. But, knowing that Google bought it, Sparrow gonna die soon I think. I guess no updates for 10.8's Notification System.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Thunderbird has been my mail client for years....I hate the built in mail app in OSX, thunderbird is free, cross platform and has many add ons so you can customise it yourself.

Apple Mail.app works just fine. You say you "hate" it without listing the reasons why... which is usually a good indicator that you've never used it.

Why?

Look at this:

Too much crap in Mail.app, shows my archived mails etc, and now look at Sparrow.
Yes, I can hide, but still it shows those archived emails etc... It plays with iCloud which I don't need either
Do I need to say anything more about that?

BTW just started downloading Thunderbird. Will post my feedback.

Thunderbird, really not for me. But still better than standart Mail.app

Easily the most feature rich without being on your face.
Very clean, functional but also very powerful.

Fairly priced also I think.

Well, personally I need Exchange so there is only mail.app. That or Outlook, which I have little interest in.

For non-Exchange apps, we lost Sparrow but this might become reality.
