Mail Application not there (new mac user)

I just bought a mac mini off someone. The mail application is no where to be found. I looked in finder. I searched to download it off apple.com.

Any help on how to get it back on my computer!

Did you get the installation CD as well? It seems to me that the person from whom you purchased the mini deleted Mail.app.
