Mail Archive Broken

For several months now, anytime I try to archive a message it disappears from the inbox, but never appears in Archive folder.
I've lost several important messages this way. Now if I want to save a message, I forward it to my Gmail account and archive it there.

Anyone know what is going on?

Yes. Thanks for replying, Brian. I wonder if I can delete all of Mail and reinstall it.

Have you been to Mail>Preferences>[your account in sidebar]>Mailbox Behaviors and checked to see what's selected for "Archive Mailbox:"? It needs to be a folder that exists on the account's server (at Hover).

Yeah, it's set to Archive. I'll call Hover and see if they know what's going on. Thx.
