I have noticed that a PDF file I received as an attachment did not work in the Mail app ('the file could not be opened'), but I went to Gmail and opened the file just fine... is there some common error that I am unaware of?

Any idea what causes this or how to fix it?

Is this via a regular ISP mail account? My ISP limits messages to 10Mb, which works out to about a 7Mb file, is it a really big pdf?

That's what is so strange.. it is just 2.8mb and nothing really strange about it at all.. It is my Gmail acct as I mentioned, and I can open the file fine via gmail (in the browser). Also, I download the file from Gmail and I can open it just fine.

If I download it via mail--it says it cannot recognize this file type. Quick look doesn't work either

Any thoughts?
