Mail Attachments 'choppy'

When I attach audio files to emails in Mail 2.1.3 (on 10.4.11), they appear kind of 'choppy' - I've attached what I mean. Anyone seen this, and possibly know a fix? Thanks

ya... I suffered with the same problem but I had replace it by a new version!
The problem vanished!!!
