    Hey,

Just wondering if you guys know of any applications that can list on the mail icon (or similar) an unread mail count?

Sounds silly I know, but I'm just thinking of battery life in having Mail running all the time.

What would be the point? Instead of Mail running all the time you'd have to run whatever other application you find all the time.

Mail is not a system hungry application. When it is working on background, it uses 0% CPU and 45-50 MBs of RAM. It will not affect your battery performance, I'm sure.

    True

    Yeah,

I pulled up 'top' and watched it for a while - you're right it's not that CPU using at all.
    Meh, I was just curious.

    Thanks!
