I want to re-raise the question of a permissions problem with Mail in Mountain Lion. I have always stored Mail in my Documents folder. On upgrading to ML, I get the message: "Mail stores information in /JSB/Users/ev/Documents/Mail. If this folder is on your computer, use the Get Info window in the Finder to change your permissions for this folder to "Read & Write."" I have done that again and again. I have that Mail folder set so that I have permission as User "ev" to Read & Write. But, whenever I try to run Mail, I get the same error message. What is odd is this: I get this error only on the machine in the office while my machine at home has no trouble opening Mail. I keep my Documents folder sync'ed between machines using the latest version (for ML) of Synchronize Pro X. Can anyone suggest why one machine will open the Mail program and the other one will not?
