Every time I go to enter an email address when composing an email within Mail, the app crashes. I have tried deleting preferences etc, but it still happens.

Im running Lion BTW, however it used to happen in SL (I was hoping the upgrade to Lion was going to fi it).

Any ideas? As Im sure you can appreciate its highly frustrating.

*Update*

It seems to do it when searching it starts to search for an address that matches what you are typing.

Can you post those?

I can...

If you want the full report I could attach it as an attachment.

Hopefully that will be enough. I'll be on my way home from work shortly and will see what I can come up with then... unless another MR member can help too.

Does it happen in another account?

Have you tried clearing out the previous recipent list (can't remember the location off the top of my head).

If that doesn't work try clearing out the address book so that there is nothing to match.

Obviously backup your addressbook first and clearing the previous list will wipe that clear.

Just created one and it still happens.

It worked :) I navigated to Library > Application Support > Address Book > and deleted MailRecents-v4.abcdmr.

Something was obviously corrupt.

Thanks!
