My mail in Mail is gone. The Inbox appears to be empty, but smart folders referring to mail in the inbox show the results. The inbox just appears totally blank.

I did a Archive & Install reinstall of Tiger, and that was when my mail first disappeared. When I updated to 10.4.2, everything was back again, until just now, when I started Mail up again. I know the data is there, but Mail is hiding it all....

I tried rebuilding and I tried "importing" things from the Library/Mail directory, but the boxes (including the newly imported ones) are also all empty. Anybody know what's going on?

Check to make sure that you have not created a rule to direct your mail somewhere other than the Inbox.

I restarted my powerbook, and my mail is all back again. But, after I quit Mail & reopened it, the mail is again gone...

How can I reinstall just Mail? Maybe that will fix it?

Well, now, without a restart, my mail is all back in my Inbox again. Anybody know how to reinstall Mail?
