Mail: draft copies of emails already sent

does anyone know why draft copies of emails already sent are still kept in the draft folder? I'm new to mac 🙂
Also, why are several drafts kept of the same email?

I have the same thing happen sometimes and I believe it is a bug in Mail.

If you select the Drafts folder then go to the Mailbox menu and click Rebuild, then restart Mail afterward, that seems to stop the behavior for awhile.
