Is it too much to hope that there will be a shorter interval for Mail fetch than 15 minutes? For those of us who understand the tradeoff on convenience/battery, it would be helpful to have the ability to set our own intervals. Sad that in 2025, 15 minutes is far too long to check email, esp. for work-related accounts that don't play nice with IOS Mail (or vice-versa, depending on who you ask).

I have no problem with 15 being standard for the typical user, of course.

... and yes, I know I can always use another app, but I do like the simplicity and integration of Mail.

It's mainly Apple.

MacOS supports IMAP IDLE which gets the mails immediately. iOS doesn't.

The reason - and I can understand it - is battery. It would be nice if they made it an option, but - and this could be a sign of my age - I don't expect nor use emails for instant messaging.
