I’m running Mojave 10.14.5 on my MBA. Recently when I’m on the internet, I get a email popup that automatically fills up half of my screen on the right side while my browser window shrinks to half size on the left.

AFAIK, I’m not hitting any key when this happens and I find this split screen very annoying. Anyone know what is causing this to happen and how I can make it stop? Any help would be appreciated.

Are you talking about Mail.app just opening to split screen view? Happens here, too. I think it's because an account is giving an error which automatically brings the app to the forefront. Incredibly annoying.

For me it seems random and it certainly is ANNOYING. I'm not sure I would even like if if there was a key stroke to pop it up.

According to the link below, it was included with Mojave.
