Mail Forwarding

I'm pretty confused with how to get the mail app on my macbook pro to automatically forward messages to my mobleme account.

Does this have to be done by using "rules"? And if so how would I specifically do that?

My mail app is pulling from my ISP pop account so if i do forward mail does the mail app on MBP have to be opened in order to download the mail from the pop account then it will be forwarded to mobileme or will it be forwarded with out the app having to be opened?

Mail app must be opened to do anything. Maybe have a look at your isp's webmail service to see if it can do automatic forwarding by itself - that would save you having to have your mac on with mail running.

if you do want mail to do this, open up preferences in mail - "Cmd+," and go to the rightermost tab- called rules
