My email seems to hang on the iPhone quite regularly. When it does it gets stuck searching and the battery drains much faster. Today for example I checked my phone half way through the day and the battery was half empty without me having used it at all. I checked the mail application and sure enough I had the spinning icon with nothing coming down. Is this a known issue and if so what can I do about it? It is very frustrating and the only way to correct it is to restart the phone. I am using IMAP by the way...
