I have apparently two mailboxes "RV" in Mail but I can find only one. I know that there must be a second "RV" mailbox because I still find a mailbox "RV" with the search in Mail even when I rename the other one into i. e. "XX."

I went through all my mailboxes and also opened all mailboxes within mailboxes - but I cannot find the location of the second "RV" mailbox.

Is there a way to search and find the location of a mailbox in Mail?

I found the mailbox in an unconventional way. I am using Mail-Act-On (a really great tool) to move emails into folders/mailboxes, and I used it now to move an email into the ominously missing "RV" mailbox - which then appeared as a new mailbox in the "On My Mac" section of Mail. I then moved the email back where it belongs and deleted the "RV" mailbox.
