Mail Is a Pig!!

Mail is using 97% of my CPU and over 1GB of Ram is there something wrong or is it just really bad for efficiency?

Check its not running in Rosetta.

It's not Using Rosetta. Seems very strange to me.

Just terminate the process and relaunch.

Mine doesn't do that either and I have over 3gb of mail. I'm running on a Macbook Core 2 Duo. I did initially see a performance decrease when using RSS feeds in Mail, so I don't use Mail for RSS.
