I upgraded to mavericks the first day it was out and I am currently running the latest update that was supposed to fix some mail issues. I have been experiencing a very annoying issue for about a week now, Mail keeps asking me for my AOL account password. The password is already there and all I have to do is hit enter. Sometimes it will pop back up several times in a row.

Any idea what is causing this and what can be done to fix it?

I am having the same problem with my AOL account. Almost everyday now I get that pop up that you are receiving. The mail works okay however without making any changes to the password. I don't know the answer. 

I am experiencing this issue on THREE of my Macs. I have done several things to try to fix it, and have had no luck. Would be great if someone knows a fix, thanks.

No fix but I thought I'd join the chorus and say same problem here. It sometimes happened under OS 10.85 but under Mavericks it happens constantly. It also happens on my iPhone 5s so maybe AOL is to blame for having a flaky server. My only solution was to make my AOL accounts inactive in the Mail app. They're leftovers from the early 1990s and maybe it's time to toss them.

Same issues on for me on two different macs and different email accounts. Multiple times a day. I finally just closed email apps on the macs and just check mail on ipad for now.

Same here - No AOL mail

Same issue here, however it was working fine yesterday. Must be something with AOL since I have changed nothing on my end. Logging into AOL mail via website still works.
