Mail keeps pushing into split screen when I'm in full screen view

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone else is having this issue.

I have a MBP and I use Safari in full screen. Since the latest update, about once an hour, Mail suddenly pops up and pushes my full screen into split screen, and I need to minimize it back out of the full screen view. It's usually after it gets "login failed" for a second it seems like. I've tried rebooting, quitting, etc, but it keeps glitching. Any ideas why or anyone else dealing with this? Thanks!

I’m having the same problem with the wife’s early 2013 15” rMBP running the latest version of Mojave.

I won’t get a chance to dig into it until next week, but a quick google shows that we’re definitely not alone.

I too have been having this issue, usually while watching youtube videos in full screen. Very weird.

Same problem on my 2017 Macbook Pro / 10.14.5
