mail - mark all messages as read?

ok so i have 4903 messages in my inbox - anyway to mark them all as read?

Cmd-A to Select All, then right/ctrl-click and choose Mark -> As Read (also available from the Message menu).

Mark all mail read

under Os X Lion you can set up a Smart Mailbox to filter all unread messages then select all, and mark as read.

an hour ago I read that on another thread but can't find it now. It does work. Thanks whoever wrote that reply😉

Right Click the inbox and select "Mark All Messages as Read". Pretty simple.
