hi, I just bought a iPhone 7 and restored from my iPhone 6's backup via iTunes. But , the mail messages are all missing. Shouldn't the backup restore all contents from my iPhone 6 including all mail messages or I missed something please ?

Mail messages not restored from itunes backup ?

Techinically it restores your email accounts - so if they were there prior to the backup and you restored from backup they should be there. Have you let the phone load up and refresh?
When I did my restore from an encrypted iTunes backup it restored the email accounts and passwords. When I opened my mail my emails were all restored by my email provider as it should be. While I use the cloud for daily backups, I also do weekly iTunes backups just in case. When ever I get new phone I always do a iTunes back up first
