Mail not deleting from iPhone (iOS 18) when deleted from Mac

After updating to iOS 18, when I delete an iCloud email message on my Mac, it's no longer automatically deleted from my iPhone. No matter how many times I refresh, reconnect, quit, restart, or wait, the email deletion from my Mac never (literally never after iOS 18) propagates to my iPhone iCloud mail.

Anyone else experiencing this?

So, it works when I have both opened. Deleting from Mac or from iPhone syncs fine. If one of them is not open, they still not sync 😒

I finally got it working. I had to shut off the e-mail account on my iPhone and turn it back on. Now it is syncing again.

Yeah I just removed my gmail account and added it back, and that appears to have fixed it for me.

Turning off iCloud mail and then back on seems to have fixed things so far. Thanks!

See if the email still appears on www.iCloud.com

If yes, the issue is on the device where you deleted it.

If no, it’s on the device where you still see the message.

This knowledge doesn’t particularly help you solve the issue - but it ensures you’re working on the proper device, at least.
