I'm not getting any mail notifications. Anyone else having this issue. I've checked notifications (in settings), and everything appears set correctly.

I've sent several test emails to myself. The mail app will display the badge icon, but no notification banners/alerts appear.

    What gives?

Have you tried sending test emails from a different account other than the account setup on Mail? I ask because I tried sending an email from the same account and no notification but when I send it from a different account I get the notification.

Wish it would do notifications for outlook instead of just the mail app.

Well, that might be it! I had this thread set to send instant email alerts, and sure enough, your reply gave me an alert!

I just tried iMessage (sent from myself), and same thing.

    Thanks for the info.

I assume that would be up to MS.

Banner notifications have been sporadic for me. Some senders I get them; other senders I don't. As already mentioned, if you send yourself a test email from the account that is setup in Mail, you will not receive a banner notification.

I also just noticed, when notifications are set as "alerts" you can either click "view" or "close". Either of those choices removes the notification from the notification center when you swipe to the left.

This is not cool. I'd like to "close" the alert but still have it show in notification center so i can basically come back to it later.

I agree. Apple has some work to do in polishing notification center. I also just noticed that some of my emails aren't even making it into notification center. In other words, if I were to turn the badges off on the Mail dock icon, I would have no idea I received an email.
