Why don't Mail notifications work when Mail isn't running?
Isn't that how it was supposed to work? It works with iMessage though.

I'm frustrated by this too. I don't wan't to have Mail open all of the time. Rather I just want a notification, telling me I've got a new email, so I can then open the app. Hopefully this will get fixed in an update soon.
